Top Ten Tuesday #2

Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's topic is-

which series had the best and worst endings in your opinion? do you disagree/agree with any of our choices??

This is my first ever Top Ten Tuesday post and I hope I get it right! Happy reading!

My list-

Since I haven't read many of the choices the hosts have gone with, I just made my own list, so here goes!

best endings:

Anna series by Kendare Blake- This was the first proper ghost book series that I read and it was fabulous. It was obvious that the series won't end happily and it was shown really nicely by the author.

Harry Potter series by J.K. RowlingEven though I had a lot of problems with many things that happened in it, being a huge Potterhead, I loved the way Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ended. I still love reading the 17 years later part.

Love Me With Lies series by Tarryn Fisher- This series was mind fucking and Thief, the last book in the series and from the guys' point of view, was beautiful. Everything fell perfectly in place and I was super happy about it.

Love Story series by Erich Segel- This was such a lovely Contemporary series and although it was filled with sadness and tears, the last line of the second book is one of the most beautiful lines I've ever come across. It was wonderful.

The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater- Although a lot of people hated the ending of this series, I devoured it. For everything that happened in the book, that end was amazingly put down.

worst endings:

Fallen series by Lauren Kate- I did not get the point of this series especially after it ended the way it ended. There was really no need to have four books when it was to end in such a stupid way.

Falling Under series by Gwen Hayes- I did not understand the way in which this one ended. It was quite confusing honestly even though the series in general was something very different and pretty.

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins- Even though I love this series, again, I didn't get the point of killing the one person you are trying to save. What's the point in writing so many books then?

Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer- When I first read the series, I loved the way it ended but now I think that it ended in a very selfish way where- and I get that it was their story- it was all about just Bella and Edward. Where did the rest go?

Vampire Academy series by Richelle MeadI know there's spin off to this one. But for such a popular and large series, I would have loved a more concrete and detailed ending.

Don't forget to link me up to your posts in the comments! Have a great week ahead!

  3. Lots of love for Harry! I love that ending myself too! Seeing mixed feelings over Forever as well. I remember liking it and not liking it. Might have gone as far as saying love/hate. I can't remember really! It's been too long since I've read it! I enjoyed Girl of Nightmares too. Thought it was a great end to a great ghost duology!

I kind of enjoyed the ending to Last Sacrifice myself. I felt like it completed Rose's story, yet left enough open for Adrian and Sydney's story to pick up. Seeing a lot of mixed feelings over Mockingjay too! Never read that series myself. Also seeing the same for Breaking Dawn--that series I've definitely done my best to erase from my memory!

    Nice picks!!
