Review- Foreplay by Sophie Jordan

Summary-

Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.

Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

Review-

I was craving a new adult book and I had seen Foreplay around and it looked good so I started it. It was a nice new adult read. I won't say that it was exactly new or never seen before new adult but it had its own charm. There were a few cliches but overall it made for a quick and sexy read.

Pepper has always been in love with her best friend's brother, Hunter. The only thing is, that he has never noticed her as more than his sister's best friend. When Hunter finally comes out of his long time relationship Sophie is determined to catch his attention. She doesn't know how though and her room mates find her the perfect solution in the form of the hot bartender, Reece.

Pepper is not as stupid as she sounds. She's actually a nice girl with her head on her shoulders. She genuinely wants to look attractive and desirable to Hunter and to gain confidence, she tries to flirt with Reece. Everyone thinks Reece is a player, so what could be the harm. She couldn't be more wrong if she tried.

Reece was hot. He was completely pulled in by Pepper's innocence. But Reece is hiding a dark past of his own. The intimate scenes between Reece and Pepper were steamy. When they're together the world outside ceases to exist. Reece knows all along that he's just helping Pepper learn Foreplay but he can't help but fall for her.

Foreplay has the right amount of angst and longing to make it a perfect new adult read. There is a great cast of supporting characters but the book moves from Pepper's point of view. I would have liked seeing what was going on in Reece's mind though. All in all, Foreplay made for a fun, quick new adult read.

  2. I'm actually reading this right now! So I kinda just skimmed your review (don't want any spoilers LOL), but so far I'm enjoying it. Only on chapter 7, but I like both MCs so that's good and there's a tension there btwn Pepper and Reece that I'm really enjoying. Hope you have a great week!

  3. Foreplay is one of the best strategy towards woman's lust. Every woman needs a thing like this, well it depends on every man you have.
