Review- Luck Of The Draw by Kelley Vitollo

Summary-

Rowan McKinley isn’t looking for one wild night while vacationing in Vegas, but she gets it anyway when she meets professional poker player—and professional ladies’ man—Breck Wilder. Breck’s easygoing charm and lighthearted banter draw in the reserved Rowan, and though she’s always dreamed of the kind of forever love her best friends Sidney and Kade share, she’ll settle for one night with the charismatic player.

After their crazy one-night stand, Breck never expected to see the mysterious redhead again. So when he shows up at a Shamrock Falls B&B looking to get away for a few weeks and Rowan answers the door, he’s floored. Breck’s rolling-stone lifestyle and ill-fated history with women means he’s not interested in anything long-term. But the longer he stays at the B&B, the more he considers dropping the poker face and putting all his cards on the table…for Rowan.

Review-

Kelley Vitollo is the pen name for Nyrae Dawn. Luck Of The Draw  is the second book in her Shamrock Falls series. You can find my review of the first book, Lucky Break here. I had really enjoyed Lucky Break and I'd really enjoyed reading about all the characters in Shamrock Falls then so it was great to comeback to them and read Rowan's story.

We'd met Rowan in Lucky Break. She is best friends with Kade and Sidney. One night in Vegas she isn't looking for anyone when Breck Wider professional poker player and ladies man finds her. There is an instant connection between them. You can feel the sparks. All this leads to an unexpected one night stand between them.

Rowan was a really nice character. She was sensible and smart. She's always dreamed of finding the forever kind of love but life hasn't been so good to her. She is feisty and determined to run her B&B successfully. Breck never thought he'd run in again with Rowan, the mysterious redhead he can't get his mind off. But when he goes to Shamrock Falls for a vacation and lands up on Rowan's doorstep he is determined to find out more about Rowan.

I loved all the crazy banter which went on between Breck and Rowan. They had amazing chemistry which was real. I had not read about a professional poker player before so Breck's lifestyle was a really interesting part in the book for me. With his history Breck is clearly not interested in anything long term with Rowan. But fate has a way of stepping in.

We also get to meet Kade and Sidney in this book. It was a real pleasure watching the tension between Jace and Betsy as well. I'm really hoping we get a book for Jace and Betsy soon cause I so want to know their story. Luck Of The Draw was a really sweet romance. It made for a quick read. Its like a feel good book which I love losing myself into from time to time.

  1. Hmm this really doesn't sound or look like my type of the book. I'm happy that you could enjoy it, but I think I'd stop at the start. Dunno it sounds so not me. Who knows, maybe one day I'll change my opinion. Great review :)
