Review- Just Remember To Breathe by Charles Sheehan-Miles

Summary-

Alex Thompson’s life is following the script. A pre-law student at Columbia University, she’s focused on her grades, her life and her future. The last thing she needs is to reconnect with the boy who broke her heart.

Dylan Paris comes home from Afghanistan severely injured and knows that the one thing he cannot do is drag Alex into the mess he’s made of his life.

When Dylan and Alex are assigned to the same work study program and are forced to work side by side, they have to make new ground rules to keep from killing each other.

Only problem is, they keep breaking the rules.

The first rule is to never, ever talk about how they fell in love.

Review-

Just Remember To Breathe was not your typical New Adult Romance read. It had a lot more depth and emotions than I expected. It was a different read in a wonderful way. The book goes from alternating points of views between Alex and Dylan and moves from the present to the past where they'd first met and fallen in love.

Dylan Paris is home back from Afghanistan and is severely injured. He is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and when he finds out that Alex has signed up for the same course as him in college the last thing he wants to do is fall for her again. Dylan was a very strong character. He's had a rough childhood and a tough life. He's been through hell in the military and has to deal with a lot of stress and anxiety.

Alex Thompson is a pre law student at the Columbia University. When she meets Dylan all she wants to is get away from the boy who broke her heart and left her. But try as she may she gets pulled in towards Dylan. Alex was a sensible character, she did what anyone would do given her situation. She tries to protect her heart from Dylan while helping him recover.

Alex and Dylan made a great couple. But both of them had issues to get over and find their way towards each other. Dylan thinks Alex is too good for him with her being an ambassador's daughter and all. He doesn't want to drag her into his mess of a life. But he needs help and Alex is the only one who's always been able to get through to him.

When Alex and Dylan meet again it was as if all the time and distance which had passed didn't matter. I think that's the sign of true love. The minor characters were also really good. It made you hope and wish for a happy ending for each of them. And a happy ending is what they got. If you're looking for an amazing and different second chance romance you should go for Just Remember To Breathe.
