Review-

Spying in High Heels was one of the cutest chick lit books I've read recently. The book is the story of Maddie, who is a shoe designer. She designs kiddie shoes and has an obsession with anything shoes. Maddie with a cast of really unique characters move the story forward.

I loved Maddie. She was sweet and funny. The way she thought made me laugh out loud many times. Many people think that Maddie is nothing but a five foot one inch dumb blonde with an obsession for high heels. I loved how she proved them wrong even while sticking to her girlyness.

When Maddie's boyfriend suddenly disappears with $20 million worth of embezzled funds Maddie finds herself into investigations due to her nosiness and curiosity of course. Here we meet LAPD's sexiest cop, Ramirez. I liked Ramirez. He gave off the hot vibes and had the whole mysterious thing going on. Maddie amuses Ramirez to no end but Ramirez is a workaholic and wants to find answers.

Through all this there are some unexpected murders and now the police are not only on the hunt for Maddie's boyfriend but the killer as well. Then we have Maddie's fashion challenged mother and her faux Dad. Maddie's super beautiful best friend Dana who is her help through all the not so covert operations.

Gemma Halliday's writing is fast paced and the dialogue is funny with the wide range of characters. We can see Maddie's journey in finding clues and piecing together things to find out who the killer is. With a little bit of mystery and a lot of chick lit Spying in High Heels made for a cute read.
