Top Ten Tuesday #46

Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's topic is:

Janhvi's Top Ten Classic books that she can't believe she hasn't read

I love reading but I have never really been a fan of classics. I have read some of them and I was just disappointed so gave up. Here are my picks of classics that I haven't read in no particular order-

What are your picks?
Let me know. :)

  1. Reading Gone with the Wind is an investment of time, definitely. I have an old edition, from when the movie was released with some images from it, that I inherited from my grandmother and I read as a way to honour her. Very interesting story and piece of American history (the book itself)....

  2. I'm not a big classic fan so I've never read any of these. I do have The Catcher in the Rye though. Might read that some day :)

  3. I have been trying to get more into Classics myself. I just learned that Harper Lee is releasing a sequel for To Kill a Mockingbird in July. That is so exciting, now I need to reread it! ;)

  4. I need to read a lot of these as well. I did like 1984!

  5. The Catcher in the Rye is such an amazing book! I usually don't read classics, but that one is one of my favorite books of all genres!

  7. Nice! The only ones I've read were Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird. Both forced upon me in school, so they weren't really faves of mine. Hope you get to read and love all these reads soon!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  8. Thanks for stopping by my TTT! Emma is the only one of these that I've read, and I loved it. I started The Hobbit, but I DNF'd it at 100ish pages back when I was in high school! I did read LOTR.

  11. Oh my problem with classics is little peculiar! I don't understand them(as in, why people are raving about it). Ultimately I resign to the fact that I have to read more to understand and appreciate these ones with a cult status. I have read To kill a mocking bird, never finished Fahrenheit 451. And yes, read Pride and Prejudice, that isnt featured in your list.

  12. Great list! I haven't read the majority of these either, in fact the only two I have read are Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four - I definitely recommend checking them both out. :) I'd really like to read Gone With the Wind, it's just such a beast of a book!

  13. I have read Animal Farm for class which was very cleverly written. I also read To Kill A Mockingbird and The Hobbit, but am sad to say I really didn't like those two :( I really wanted to read 1984 and Emma myself too!
