Review-

About that Kiss by Jill Shalvis is the fifth book in her Heartbreaker Bay series. But no need to panic, all these books can be very easily read as stand alone. Usually I gobble up Jill Shalvis books within a matter of days, definitely within a week but this time life got in the way of reading and unfortunately, it took me a few months to finish this book. But that did not decrease my enjoyment of the story.

About that Kiss is the story of Joe and Kylie. Let's start with Kylie. Kylie is an artist who works with wood. When Joe needs a gift for his sister he goes to Kylie but an explosive kiss between them has increased the tension. Kylie in return needs Joe's help which brings in a little bit of a suspense to the plot.

I genuinely loved Kylie. She was a sweet person through and through and she only wanted to find the culprit behind her missing figurine. She was very much attracted to Joe but she knew that Joe was emotionally incapable of giving his heart to her. Joe, on the other hand, was a typical alpha male. He was strong and sexy and awkward at times. Frankly, he didn't know what to do with his feelings and emotions for Kylie.

Kylie and Joe made for a great pair who balanced each other out. They were there for each other in times of need and they always supported each other. It was difficult for Joe to be open with Kylie but he did finally end up succeeding.

We also get to meet the rest of the Heartbreaker Bay gang and see how everyone is doing. We get a few glimpses of the previous couples. The one to-be couple which was highlighted was Joe's little sister Molly and Joe's co-worker Lucas. I can already see the sparks and I'm really looking forward to their book. Overall, About that Kiss was an enjoyable read.
