Review- Craving Beauty by Nalini Singh

Summary-

Marc was dangerous to her in the way that only a strong, sexy male could be to a woman. Even knowing that, she'd agreed to marry him.

Hope blossomed in Hira's heart. Perhaps she'd married a man with whom it might be worth building a life. Her mother had worried that he was scarred, but the lines on his face did nothing to lessen his raw masculine appeal. If anything, they gave him an even more dangerous male air, enticing the feminine core of her to thoughts that shocked her.
What did a man's face matter anyway? She had no use for handsome men.
But for a man with a heart? For such a man...she might risk everything.

Review-

I am a HUGE Nalini Singh fan. I love her Psy- Changeling and Guild Hunter series. I also quite enjoy her latest Rock Kiss series. So when I came across one of her older books, a Silhouette Romance, I decided to give it a try. Craving Beauty was obviously not as good as Nalini Singh's other books but it was still an okay read for me.

Hira is a princess who lives in a land where women don't always get the freedom they desire. She is beautiful beyond compare and has lived with people telling her that all her life. When Hira is married to Marc she hopes he will see her as more than just a beauty. I liked Hira. Yes, she was young and could be a bit childish at times but we could see her circumstances and what she had been through.

Then we have Marc. Marc is instantly in lust with Hira since the first moment he sees her. Marc himself is a scarred man with a scarred past so even though he thinks he does not deserve Hira, he takes her. I really liked Marc. I wish he didn't underestimate Hira so much and didn't jump to conclusions so quickly. Marc had his insecurities but he wanted the best for his wife.

Marc and Hira shared really amazing chemistry. Nalini Singh writes amazing romance and the one budding between Marc and Hira was a pleasure to watch. Yes, there were many fights and arguments between them but it just got them closer. They both had their own issues to solve.

Nalini Singh, now, has set the bar too high so obviously, I found Craving Beauty lacking as compared to her present works. But that is not to say it was a bad book. It was a nice and quick romance read with just another take on Beauty and the Beast. I liked Craving Beauty.
