Review- First Night by Lauren Blakely

Summary-

An erotic novella from the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Lauren Blakely...

It was only supposed to be one night…

When the sinfully handsome man walks into her bar in San Francisco, Julia Bell simply wants a break from the troubles that keep chasing her. That escape comes in the form of sexy, confident and commanding Clay Nichols, who captivates her mind AND turns her inside out with pleasure. The attraction is electric and they share one scorchingly hot night together, but they also discover there is more than just off-the-charts chemistry; the connection between them runs deep. Clay never thought he’d return to New York with this woman still on his mind. But he can’t get her out of his system, and he needs more of her…He wants more than just the first night…

Review-

After reading a thoroughly disappointing book I wanted to read a good romance. That is when I stumbled upon First Night by Lauren Blakely. I went into it with no expectations what so ever and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the start of Julia and Clay's story.

Julia is a bartender. One night while she is working in the bar she owns a sexy stranger walks in the form of Clay Nichols. That is when things get interesting. I really liked Julia and her no-nonsense attitude. She was witty and funny and I loved reading her point of view. I loved how unapologetic she was about her desire towards Clay.

Then we have Clay. Clay is an entertainment lawyer and when he walks into the bar and sees the sexy bartender he is completely smitten. I loved the chemistry Clay and Julia shared. It was more than sexual, more like a meeting of minds. I really liked it how Clay wanted to know more about Julia and was genuinely interested in her.

Lauren Blakely wrote a great sexy short novella giving you just enough to dive right into the next book. I am very curious to see where Clay and Julia's story goes next and how they overcome the issues between them. I really enjoyed the First Night.
