Review-

Too Beautiful to Break was one of my most anticipated reads of 2017. This is the fourth and final book in the Romancing the Clarksons series by Tessa Bailey and the build up of Belmont and Sage's book was happening right since book number one. I really did enjoy myself while reading Too Beautiful to Break. I have been following this series right through the beginning and it was  bittersweet to see it end. But I'm quite satisfied with the ending we got.

So let's start with Sage. Sage has been Peggy's best friend and wedding planner so she has been through thick and thin with the Clarkson siblings during the course of the road trip. Sage may come off as shy and sweet and classy but underneath she is hiding a background which she ran away from. But Sage knows she can't keep running and to get back to reality she has to leave Belmonte behind. I really liked Sage. She was a sweet girl and her heart was always in the right place.

Belmonte is the quiet brother. An incident in his childhood left him scarred and he is still struggling to deal with it. The only person who is steady in Bel's life in Sage. He feels right with her and only she can calm the demons inside of him. When Sage decides to leave him Bel will do anything to get rid of her problems for her. I love Bel. He was the sibling who probably needed love and affection the most. 

Sage and Belmonte made for a great pair. Sage fears that their dependence and neediness for each other may end up ruining them both but Bel is always there to prove her wrong. The chemistry between Belmonte and Sage was amazing and as always Tessa Bailey delivers and steamy and angst filled romance. Bel and Sage both have vulnerabilities and they both overcome them with each other's help.

We also finally get to see all the Clarkson siblings together along with their better halves. All the siblings have come a long way and it was great seeing them finally be a family who loved and protected each other. The climax of the book was definitely dramatic but Sage and Bel deserved their happy ending. I would definitely recommend this series to all romance and Tessa Bailey fans out there.

Too Beautiful to Break was one of my most anticipated reads of 2017. The Romancing the Clarksons series started off okay for me with book no. 1 and 2 being just okay reads. But I was totally and completely hooked from Too Hard to Forget. That book had so much depth and emotion and I loved it. So I was super excited that Kyler, whom we'd met in Too Hard to Forget was getting a novella, Too Close to Call. I enjoyed Too Close to Call by Tessa Bailey.

Too Close to Call actually takes place a year after the events of Too Hard to Forget. I so badly wanted to know any updates we could get on the Clarkson siblings but that is kept a suspense. We'll have to wait for Too Beautiful to Break for that. Anyway, let's start with this novella. Kyler is a wide receiver and he has been drafted by one of his dream teams. But none of it means anything to Kyler without his high school sweetheart, Bree.

I loved Ky. He was such a sweet and patient guy. He was head over heels in love with Bree and the four years apart in college have done nothing to diminish that. Ky is determined to get Bree back. He knows they are meant to be together. I loved Ky's confidence in their love and how he was willing to be the one to sacrifice anything to be together.

I also genuinely liked Bree. She was a sweet and shy girl but she loved Kyler. They may seem like opposites but they do bring out the best in each other. It was hard for Bree to be without Kyler but she only wants whats best for him. I loved the chemistry between Ky and Bree. Their story was endearing and they totally deserved their happy ending. Too Close to Call was a cute second chance romance novella.

“Whoa there,” Bree whispered shakily. “This is a church dance.”

Her words seemed to bring him back from whatever land he’d been teleported to. “Right,” he rasped. “We’re supposed to be setting an example.”

“Yes.”


“So I should definitely stop thinking about sucking on your lower lip.”


Bree’s thighs pressed together, her gasping inhale shivering all the way down into her tummy. Lower. “Stop that right now.”


His gaze remained zeroed in on her mouth. “Stop thinking about it or saying it out loud?”


“Both.” Trying desperately to remain indignant in the face of that face—and that drawl, those muscles, his familiar scent—Bree warned him with a look. “You said we were going to be friends. There’s nothing the least bit friendly about lip sucking.”

“I don’t know.” He hummed in his throat and tightened his hold around her waist. “Seems like letting me do it would be mighty friendly of you.”

Bree tamped down a laugh. “Friendly or stupid?”

Shit almighty. How had it come to this? She was plastered against her ex-boyfriend—whom she’d yet to shake completely. Review-

I had zero expectations before starting Too Hard to Forget by Tessa Bailey. The reason behind that was that we'd met Peggy, our heroine and she seemed flighty so I thought the book would be light and fluffy. Boy, was I wrong! And I couldn't be more happy about it because this book is definitely my favourite of the entire series. I think it may just be my favourite Tessa Bailey book to date because I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards.

Okay, let's start with Peggy. Like I said before Peggy comes off as a flighty person, all rainbows and sunshine, that is, till you get into her head. She decides to go back to her college town for the alumni weekend because this time she has plans to get over Elliott Brooks. I LOVED Peggy. She was smart and sweet and just so so vulnerable. She tried her hardest to get over Elliott and failed. Peggy had a complex personality and she was so much more messed up than I thought.

Then we have the infamous Elliott Brooks. Elliott and Peggy had an affair three years ago. The biggest hurdle at the time though was that Elliott was the coach of the football team. Elliott thinks at the time that what Peggy and he have is completely wrong and sinful. Elliott was a hard guy to like at first. He was stoic and silent and unfeeling. At least it seemed that way until he starts thinking about Peggy. 

Peggy and Elliott have one of the best second chance romance story. They have an amazing amount of chemistry- which is to be expected from Tessa Bailey -but more than that they have an emotional bond that cannot be broken. Too Hard to Forget is such a perfect title because they both can't forget the other, no matter how many years have passed. Also, Elliott definitely comes through when needed.

Too Hard to Forget had me feeling so many things. Most of all, I was super happy for Peggy and Elliott because no two people deserved a happy ending more than them. I loved seeing Sage and Belmonte and  I can't wait for their story next. Elliott's daughter was also a great addition to the cast and definitely provided more depth to the story. Overall, I can't praise this book enough. I LOVED it!

Review-

Too Wild to Tame is the second book in Tessa Bailey's Romancing the Clarksons series. We'd met all the four siblings which make up the Clarksons in the first book and each book follows the story of one of the siblings while they are on a wild road trip as their mother's last wish. Before starting Too Wild to Tame I was plenty curious to see how Aaron's book would be. I wondered how his heroine would be. I have to say Too Wild to Tame was a good read.

So like I said before this is Aaron's story. Aaron has been portrayed as the slimy political guy since the beginning of the series. He is ruthless and cynical and he values his job above all. A job he wants to get back. I actually really ended up liking Aaron. He was cynical and shit but he had a vulnerable side as well. He is also completely smitten by all that is Grace and I loved how protective he was of her. 

Then let's go to Grace. Grace has always been the black sheep of the family. She also happens to be the senator's daughter for whom Aaron is working for. I loved how Grace was an unusual character. A horrible tragedy in her childhood made her want to live in the moment. And she wants all the moments she can get with Aaron. I liked the little bit of whimsy and the optimistic outlook which came with Grace's personality.

Tessa Bailey is an expert at writing forbidden romances and Aaron and Grace's romance is also forbidden in a way. They are complete opposites on paper, both wanting extremely different things from life. But I guess that is what pulls them closer. They actually fulfilled what the other was missing while understanding each other perfectly. 

I also liked seeing Sage. We also get a little glimpse of what may actually be going on in bubby Peggy's head. BUT while all this should have made this book a perfect read for me, it didn't. I don't know what it is but I think I'm at a burn out point with Tessa Bailey books. Her heroes are somewhat sounding the same to me and I really don't like how quickly the characters change their minds right after a steamy scene. So while I am curious about Peggy's story next I will definitely be taking my time to get to it. Too Wild to Tame was an okay read for me.

I am a huge fan of Tessa Bailey, especially her Crossing the Line series. She writes serious chemistry between her couples and I especially end up liking all the banter which goes along with her characters. Too Hot To Handle is the first book in a new series by her called Romancing the Clarksons. What I found the most fascinating was that this series actually follows four siblings on a road trip. Its hard to wrap your head around it but Tessa Bailey makes it work.

Rita is a chef who has tried to follow her mother's legacy. She was kicked out of a reality show and now all she wants to do is lick her wounds. Unexpected circumstances brings Rita and her siblings together and they find themselves on a road trip. I really liked Rita. She was a woman with insecurities. She is a little shy and tries to be tough but really, she needed to belong somewhere.

When their car has a breakdown the Clarksons have to take a stop at a small town. That is where Rita meets Jasper. Jasper is instantly attracted to Rita and wants - for once in his life - a woman who sees the real him and not just great for a hook up. Jasper has a reputation in the small town but he's ready for a change and he wants Rita.

Tessa Bailey knows how to write a hot romance. Jasper and Rita have amazing chemistry and they work well together. With her signature dirty talk Tessa's heroes are all alpha male. But this may be a surprise but what I liked even more than the romance was the relationship the four siblings shared. They are as Rita claims emotionally stunted Clarksons but it is easy to see that they love each other.

All siblings are as different as day and night. There's the silent and brooding eldest, Rita is the second oldest, then there's the flamboyant politician who is number three and the youngest wild child sweetheart who has broken of four engagements. I loved all the sibling banter. It was hilarious. Aaron is the politician who has his story next and I can't wait for it. I was a little bummed at the ending because I wanted it to end in a different way but oh, well. This was a good read for me.
