Review- Simple Perfection by Abbi Glines

Summary-

Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

Review-

Simple Perfection is the much anticipated sequel to Twisted Perfection. Though Twisted Perfection did not end on a major cliffy I was eagerly waiting for Simple Perfection. The reason being Woods, of course. I read the book for him and I loved the book for him.

Woods has a lot of things to deal with. An unexpected tragedy leaves him the sole bearer of the family business. All the things Woods had decided to leave behind for Della come crashing down on him. I loved Woods. Yes, I'm repeating myself but he was amazing. You could feel his devotion to Della. Sometimes, it did result in over protectiveness but his love was unwavering.

Della wants to be strong for Woods. But her issues are even more messed up than his. Della was still the same sweet girl we'd met before, perfectly balancing Woods out. But she had her insecurities. It did get a tiny bit frustrating but when we see her nightmares from before you know how horrifying her past was. It justifies the way she is.

The romance between Della and Woods was beautiful and their bond continues to grow strong. They are vulnerable with each other but their passion burns hotter by each page. They had a mix of tenderness and intimacy. We get to see how everyone else in Rosemary is doing as well.

There were a lot of twists in the second half of the book which I so did not see coming. Unexpected developments take place where Tripp and Grant are concerned. Abbi teases us just enough to make us hungry for the next book. I loved Simple Perfection and can't wait to read what next Abbi has in store for us.

Janhvi's Birthday + Things That Remind Me Of...

Yes! You read that right. Today is Janhvi's birthday! *throws confetti*
So here's wishing a very happy birthday to the girl who has the patience to tolerate me.
Happy birthday, Janhvi!

This post is dedicated to my brilliant best friend and fellow blogger.
She has this huge thing for that guy from author Abbi Glines's Perfection series
What's his name? It's got something to do with... Ah, ha! Woods! Yes, Woods Kerrington.

And such a lovely birthday present it is to have your book boyfriend's book released a day before your birthday and reading it through your birthday at midnight.
Trust me, all that girl talked about when I called her at midnight was Woods, Woods and Woods.

So Janhvi, just for today, I'll listen to the Woods crap talk.
This one's for you.

So this is the story of Della Sloane and Woods Kerrington and they both have accounts on Twitter as well. You can check them and follow them- @Della_Sloane and @WKerrington
The profile picture on their accounts is perfect for the two characters.

Perfect, aren't they? So anyways, I like this series but I'm not head over heels over it like Janhvi so there's not much I have that reminds me of it. All I hope is that she likes this post.

Here are some teasers for you from the latest book that I found online. Do get your copy and read, because these books are sexy and sweet.

That's all I have! Once again, happy birthday, Janhvi!

Review- Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines

Summary-

Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

Review-

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to start with Twisted Perfection. I'd always liked Woods better than Rush so I was super happy to get started on his story. I devoured Twisted Perfection in a span of a few hours and enjoyed reading every single word. I am more than happy that Woods and Della are going to get another book called Simple Perfection.

Della Sloane was the perfect girl for Woods. She was just so fragile and vulnerable. She had a horrible past and she is so inexperienced where life is concerned. She was another of Abbi's fantastic heroines and I loved how she was always looking out for Woods' happiness. It was like two puzzle pieces fitting together when Woods and Della came together time after time. They had hot chemistry.

Woods was the best. I loved loved loved him. He just wants to take what's rightfully his and work in his family business. When he meets Della he falls for her hard. He is just so gentle with her when she needs him to be. He wants to fix everything for Della and just cherish her even though he knows they can't be more. He is protective and possessive. Woods was also pretty vocal about what he liked and so it made Della and his relationship more graphic.

Twisted Perfection was so much more darker and twisted than any of Abbi's previous books. But I enjoyed and loved it that much more. Woods was sexy and the romance was hot. Another thing I loved about Woods and Della's relationship was the honesty they had between them. Della obviously carried her share of secrets but there were no lies and petty misunderstandings. It was just amazing to see these two fall in love.

Twisted Perfection has a thoroughly satisfying romance which is combined with a great cast of characters. We get to meet new people with the familiar faces of Grant, Bethy, Jace and Blaire. There was a tiny cliffhanger at the end but Woods and Della's relationship was solid. All in all, I loved reading about Woods and Della and Twisted Perfection was an excellent read.
