Review- Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi

Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.

Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

I was really looking forward to reading Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi. Though I wasn't a huge fan of the first book, Rossi's world had reeled me in and I wanted to see how it ended. Also after the events of Through the Ever Night I was very concerned about Roar. Into the Still Blue was a good conclusion to the series.

Perry and Aria have been through a lot in the previous books. With Perry taking over as Blood Lord and Aria trying to bring Liv back things have been stressful. Now the Dwellers and Outsiders are somewhat together and Perry and Aria are trying their hardest to reach to the Still Blue.

I loved Aria and Perry in this one. I felt that Aria was much more sorted and determined. She has come a long way from the first book and you could see the change. She wanted to protect the people she loved and that was admirable. Perry was still the same. He is quiet but he had an intensity to him. Yes he wanted the best for his people but his first priority was Aria. Their love for each other was beautiful.

The one complaint I have with Into the Still Blue is that we don't get enough of Perry-Aria alone time. I know it is unfair of me to expect that since their world was ending, literally, but I could have used more romance. But we get lots of Roar. I felt really sad for Roar. He was suffering and yes he took it out on Perry. Yet it was nice to see him start healing.

What I did not completely expect was for Cinder to play such a pivotal role. Sable made for a cruel villain and we get answers to a lot of unanswered questions. I did feel that the end was a bit short. I would have liked a nice epilogue but I guess that's expecting too much from dytopians. Overall I enjoyed this series.

  1. gotta read this series! nice review Janhvi :)

  2. I didn't really like the first book to be honest, and I'm under conflict on whether or not I should give the series a 2nd chance. Of course, since the romance is less... :D

(Yeah... I thought it was a bit too much in the beginning. >_<)

    Great review!
