Review- Accidentally on Purpose by Jill Shalvis

Summary-

There’s no such thing as a little in love…

Elle Wheaten’s priorities: friends, career, and kick-ass shoes. Then there’s the muscular wall of stubbornness that’s security expert Archer Hunt—who comes before everything else. No point in telling Mr. “Feels-Free Zone” that, though. Elle will just see other men until she gets over Archer . . . which should only take a lifetime . . .

There’s no such thing as a little in lust…

Archer’s wanted the best for Elle ever since he sacrificed his law-enforcement career to save her. But now that she’s earned happiness and success, Archer just wants Elle 24/7. Their chemistry could start the next San Francisco Earthquake, and Archer doesn’t want to be responsible for the damage. The alternative? Watch her go out with guys who aren’t him . . .

There is such a thing as…

As far as Archer’s concerned, nobody is good enough for Elle. But when he sets out to prove it by sabotaging her dates, she gets mad—and things get hot as hell. Now Archer has a new mission: prove to Elle that her perfect man has been here all along…

Review-

I have been in a reading slump for quite sometime now. Almost a month if I'm counting correctly. With the new year and my new reading goals I wanted to get back on track and what better way to do that than with a Jill Shalvis book. Accidentally on Purpose is the third book in the Heartbreaker Bay series by Jill Shalvis. This is Archer and Elle's story and I was eagerly waiting for it. Obviously, it did not disappoint. I LOVED it!

Every book in the Heartbreaker Bay series can be read as a stand alone but if you've been following the series you know that the tension between Archer and Elle is there for everyone to see. These two have sparks flying all over the place but they are just not ready to accept it. We finally get both Archer and Elle's back story and their history is complex to say the least. The love hate relationship and the push pull between them was perfectly captured.

Elle was an amazing heroine. She was always so put together and icy that you would think she's hard to relate to. But Elle had her strengths and her vulnerabilities. She's the one who's trying hard to make sense of her feelings while trying to keep her heart safe. Elle was definitely capable of scaring away guys but she met her match in Archer.

Now Archer was definitely a difficult hero to figure out at first. He was throwing mixed signals left and right but then again he was battling with his own emotions. Archer only wanted to protect Elle and take care of her. He was a solid guy with a good head on his shoulders. It was so sweet to watch him fall for her so helplessly. Jill Shalvis writes an amazing combination of sweet and sexy romance and I devoured it.

I also loved seeing the remaining gang. Pru and Finn were nauseatingly smitten in love. Keane and Willa were cute too. I found Archer's employees hilarious. Spencer was a great friend and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his book is next. He really deserves it. Jill Shalvis' book always leave me with a happy feeling and this was no different. I loved Accidentally on Purpose.
