It's been really long since we've done a Book Quotes post. So I decided to make today the day to do just that.
I love Simone Elkeles and all of her books.
While flipping through my Quotes Book, I came across quotes from her Paradise series, which consists of two books, Leaving Paradise and Return To Paradise.
I have quite a few lovely quotes from the books, but I'm sharing only two quotes/ conversations since they are the loveliest and should be enough to make you get to the books, if you haven't already.
LEAVING PARADISE:
"Are you following me?" she asks, but doesn't meet my gaze.
"Yeah", I say.
"Why?"
"Honestly?"
She looks at me, her eyebrows raised.
I give her the only honest and true answer I have.
"You're where I want to be."
RETURN TO PARADISE:
"Maggie?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks."
"For what?"
"For making me feel alive again."
