Fan art #6

Hi guys! It's been a long time since I posted some fan art. There was actually supposed to be another post for today, but I'm bored, tired and simply way too sleepy to make something that requires my brain to work, so I've decided to put up a drawing instead. This time, it isn't great at all. I know it. You will see it. It was done way back in 2006 when I was in school! 

So this, my friends, is what I like to call the Harry Potter mix. It has a bit of everything from every cover of the first six books. It isn't so nice, I know. I mean, look at Harry's hand and the wolf. *bursts out laughing* But I must say that I love Dumbledore on this one.

Fan Art #5

So... It's been a really long time since I put up some Fan Art and I'm going to change that today and display two book covers I've tried to copy redraw. 

The first is... I don't know if I can call this "Fan" Art since I'm not the biggest fan of the series but the covers of author Lauren Kate's Fallen series are super pretty and here's my drawing of the first book, Fallen. It's not well edited as you can still see some of the pencil marks here and there, but I hope you like it anyway. It's just an interpretation of sorts. Actually getting the whole cover drawn right would be really difficult since the cover is so gorgeous! 

The second one I have for you is... The cover of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is the cover we got back then in India (we have a new one out now), so that's the only one I have. It's such a colourful and  realistic cover for Harry and Ron do take the Weasley's car Ford Angela to go to Hogwarts in their second year. Everything about this cover is special because all those minute details are both in the book and the movie. And I only hope I got it right! As you can see, I did this way back in 2009, so... Yeah, please be forgiving of any errors!

Fan Art #4

It's been an awfully long time since I posted some Fan Art. The last time, I shared with you guys a full length werewolf sketch that I drew. As promised back then, I'm now posting a close-up shot of a werewolf.

Even though it may not seem like it, this wolf, for some odd reason, reminds me of Sam Roth (whom I love) from Maggie Stiefvater's The Wolves Of Mercy Falls trilogy. Sam was calm, kind, lovely and different in a way. This wolf seems more fierce (that's why the "odd"). 

Okay, I admit this sketch is not great and the jaw seems dislocated! But I have a soft corner for this one as (besides reminding me of Sam), the eyes which are normally hard to do, have turned out pretty well. 

Like I said, it's not great, but I hope you like it anyway. :P 

Fan Art #3

I have been fascinated by werewolves since the time I got to know in  Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that Professor Remus Lupin is one. Then I obviously read The Twilight Saga which increased my interest in werewolves. I am Team Jacob, FYI. :P 

So anyways, I love werewolves and I think they are the most magnificent creatures that mythology and  imagination could have ever created. 

I have drawn wolves/werewolves and here is one such sketch (which is not perfect) but this wolf reminds me so much of Jacob from Twlight and Riley from Intertwined. Darn! I wish I could bring a werewolf home. ;)

Fan Art #2

After I read the Harry Potter series, I was deeply fascinated by owls. I absolutely love Harry's owl, Hedwig and was very sad when she died. JK Rowling's innovative concept of owls delivering letters and being petted was something stunning and really cool. I drew an owl that reminds me a little of Hedwig and I am sharing this piece of my Fan Art here.

As you already know, Janhvi and I use owls to rate the books that we read too. So there's just something really captivating about these creepy, cool and wise creatures. 

There's a really nice quote about owls that I like and I am sharing here. 

“A wise old owl sat on an oak; 

The more he saw the less he spoke; 

The less he spoke the more he heard; 

Why aren't we like that wise old bird?”

Fan Art #1

Hey guys! I've decided to share some of my Fan Art with you all. I'm not an artist or anything, I simply love to draw. I'm not exactly great with memory drawing, so I stick to book cover art or some random book-related pictures that I find online. Basically, I've been drawing fan art since a long time, so I'm just going to scan them and put them up.  

Since this is my first Fan Art post, I've decided to go with something that I'm sure most of you'll love- HARRY POTTER! I'm a huge fan. Well, that's an understatement. It's more like I breathe and live Harry Potter. :)

I drew the Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry crest, that you find on the first page of all the Harry Potter books. I hope you guys like it! It's not perfect, but I did it out of my pure HP obsession!
