Giveaway (India only)- The Shaadi Brouhaha by Anjlee Shah

Hi, guys! I am excited to present to you another great book and offer you another awesome giveaway, and that is all thanks to the super sweet author Anjlee Shah for her book, The Shaadi Brouhaha. Although staying in London, Anjlee has generously offered to give away one copy of the book to one lucky Indian reader. So without much ado, let's get on to the post we have for you.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Launching a newbie into the Indian matrimonial scene is like introducing a new iPhone in an already saturated market – has to be sleek, overflowing with catchy features, and better than the already available versions.

So when twenty-five-year-old Nitya Trivedi is forced into it by her ever so enthusiastic mother and pestering relatives, she hardly knows what she has bargained for.

In her journey to find her soul-mate (??!!), she becomes Dollarkumar’s Poundkumari, ends up fasting on party days to make peace with her horror-scope, attends hilarious ‘arranged’ meetings through various matchmaking portals and people – all under the nose of her extremely evil, but deliciously debonair boss Rudra Desai.

With besties tying the knot and cousins ‘stealing’ prospective grooms…wonder how Nitya’s mother will find the perfect match for her only daughter.

But as always, love will find a way in the midst of The Shaadi Brouhaha..

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Born in U.A.E and brought up in India, Anjlee Shah has completed her MBA in Finance from Cardiff University. Currently she lives in England with her husband and works as an analyst for a private firm. Intrigued by arranged marriages in Indian culture, she decided to write her debut novel. In her spare time, you will find her either reading, writing or traveling. If given a choice, she would select experience over possessions.

Hi, guys! It's been a long time since we had a giveaway for you loverly people. So here we are with one. I have an extra copy of Chetan Bhagat's What Young India Wants to give away to one lucky Indian reader, and because it's "supposedly" the month of love and because I don't really need a reason to do this, I'm throwing in a copy of my all time favourite, The Homing Pigeons... by Sid Bahri as well. One reader will win both the books.

We only ask that you follow us via email. That is your mandatory entry. The email subscription option can be found in the right side bar. Another important point (which isn't mandatory, but really appreciated) is you telling us in the comments what it is that YOU really want for India. We're listening. Without much ado, let's get on to the post.

Giveaway rules are simple:

*The giveaway is open for residents of India only.

GIVEAWAY (IN Only)- Ten Shades Of Life

Hello, guys! Today, Janhvi and I have for you another giveaway!

This time, the giveaway is hosted by the host of the Indian Quills Reading Challenge and our blogging friend, Reshmy @ The Tales Pensieve who is also one of the co-author of the anthology, Ten Shades Of Life, the book Reshmy will be giving away to TWO lucky Indian readers!

GOODREADS SUMMARY OF TEN SHADES OF LIFE:

In times when anthologies dwell on prosaic romantic accounts, Fablery presents Ten Shades of Life. From a nail-biting thriller to a spine-chilling ghost story, an exquisite romance to an ingenious fantasy, an adventurous science-fiction to mirthful and remarkable experiences of salaried men, stories of heroes and philosophies of life - it attends to the preferences of all readers.

When anthologies contain stories of one genre, after reading a couple of stories they get predictable and fail to keep a reader’s interest until the end, but a multi-genre book has something to offer to everyone and many things to one reader.

The writing styles of all the writers whose stories are included in this book are grand and the plots so engaging that they will force you to read another page and one another before you finally close the book. The stories will take you on a roller coaster between reality and fiction.

SUMMARY OF THE SECRETS OF THE DARK:

Is one born with his destiny or does he forge it?

In the mystical land of Gaya, two prophecies bind the fate of men and empires alike. The Destroyer born from the royal seed on the Land of the Setting Sun shall bring the empires down, or so has been foretold.

In between the Destroyer and the world stand the Seven Guardians of Gaya, guarding the realm of man. A king, a father, defies the Seven and fate itself to save the last drop of his blood and prince Agni grows in the Land of the Rising Sun, exiled from his own people, unaware of his past.

Losing the woman he loved most to the shadows in the dark, Agni is thrown into a whirlpool of events that he neither knows, nor understands. His quest for vengeance brings him to the doorstep of a secret that will shatter the very foundation of beliefs of a world.

Can Agni avert his destiny? Can he uncover the truth about the Seven and the prophecies, now hidden behind a veil of ignorance?

The secrets of the dark are sometimes so terrible that they are better left unsaid.
