Review-

Dirty Deeds is the third book in Megan Erickson's Mechanics of Love series. I have to admit that this is the book I was looking forward to the most in the entire series though I'd surprisingly enjoyed the last book very much. Alex and Spencer's story was a pleasure to read. Its as simple as that. I am so glad I read this series because now I will definitely be keeping an eye out on what Megan Erickson writes.

Alex is definitely not looking for a relationship. She has had a horrible experience with her last one and now she wants to stay away from men. Its not like she doesn't like men but she just wants to be independent and confident on her own. I loved Alex. She was such a strong person. She had her insecurities but with Spencer she feels great and she's falling for him even when she knows its a bad idea.

Spencer is only in town for a few days. He's a bit of a loner and he's never wanted to settle down. I really liked Spencer. From the moment he meets Alex they are sparks flying all over the place. Spencer can let down his guard when he's with Alex and be the man he wants to be instead of playing the sophisticated man. 

I loved the chemistry Alex and Spencer shared. This book had the whole opposites attract thing going on but it really worked. I loved how honest Alex and Spencer were with each other. They genuinely cared about each other and it was easy to see. I loved how Spencer respected Alex and worked with her to get over her issues.

I really liked seeing the previous couples and the rest of the Payton family. I've come to adore the quirks each of the characters have. Alex and Spencer just added to the bunch and by the end of the book I was left feeling really content with everyone's endings. Dirty Deeds was an amazing read and I highly recommend this series!

Review-

Dirty Talk is the second book in Megan Erickson's Mechanics of Love series. This book is about the middle Payton brother, Brent. I really enjoyed Dirty Talk. I think its because now we know most of the characters and I also really liked how Brent and Ivy's story went.

Brent has always been the joker brother in the Payton family. Its the way he dealt with his mother leaving and his father being a workaholic. Brent has always had Cal and Max but he is not serious about anything else. I really liked Brent. We got to see the different sides of him. He actually wanted to be serious about Ivy and her daughter. For once in his life he wanted more and I love how he never gave up on Ivy.

Ivy and her sister Alex have moved to town with Ivy's daughter Violet for a new beginning. Ivy and Alex have made a pact to stay away from men because they always lead to trouble but Ivy is seriously attracted to Brent. I loved Ivy. She was a sweet heroine who saw Brent for who he was. I loved Ivy and her daughter's relationship and how she always put her family first.

Ivy and Brent's romance is definitely slow burn. They always have chemistry but Ivy is hesitant and Brent is patient. I loved how Brent never gave up on Ivy. I also loved the bond Brent and Ivy's daughter shared. It was so sweet and just what Violet needed in her life. I liked how Ivy helped Brent go for what he really wanted it life.

Once again we get too meet the rest of the Payton clan. It was nice to see Jenna and Cal. Brent's father and Asher also played an important role. It was also really nice to see the bond between Ivy and her sister Alex. I am eager to read Alex's book which is next to know about her past. Dirty Talk was a great read.

Review- Dirty Thoughts by Megan Erickson

Summary-

Some things are sexier the second time around.

Review-

I had been reading some really nice reviews of the Mechanics of Love series by Megan Erickson and that is the reason I thought that I should give this series a try. Dirty Thoughts is the first book in the Mechanics of Love series. While this book didn't totally blow my mind it was a good romance and I am curious enough about the remainder of the characters to read the next books.

Let's start with Cal. Cal is a mechanic in the small town of Tory. He has always been gruff and reserved. The only person who made him feel things was Jenna, his high school girlfriend. And now she's back in town after ten years. I liked Cal. I always like the plot where the hero is from the wrong side of the tracks and Cal was exactly that. But his love for Jenna was true.

Jenna was a really sweet heroine. She has never been able to get over Cal but circumstances made her leave the last time. Now she's back for good and working with her father. I liked how Jenna treated Cal. She was always there for him even when Cal wanted to deny what was between them. I liked how she always helped Cal out without a moment's hesitation.

Cal and Jenna shared a really nice connection. They had always been there for each other even when it seemed like it would never work between them. I enjoyed their story and how they came back to each other. I also loved the relationship Jenna shared with Cal's family.

The plus point of this book was all the supporting characters we get to meet. I found Cal's jokester brother Brent hilarious and I liked Max and Asher too. I also liked Cal's father. I am curious to see how Brent's story goes in the next book. Dirty Thoughts was a nice read by Megan Erickson.
