Janhvi's Birthday + Things That Remind Me Of...

Yes! You read that right. Today is Janhvi's birthday! *throws confetti*
So here's wishing a very happy birthday to the girl who has the patience to tolerate me.
Happy birthday, Janhvi!

This post is dedicated to my brilliant best friend and fellow blogger.
She has this huge thing for that guy from author Abbi Glines's Perfection series
What's his name? It's got something to do with... Ah, ha! Woods! Yes, Woods Kerrington.

And such a lovely birthday present it is to have your book boyfriend's book released a day before your birthday and reading it through your birthday at midnight.
Trust me, all that girl talked about when I called her at midnight was Woods, Woods and Woods.

So Janhvi, just for today, I'll listen to the Woods crap talk.
This one's for you.

So this is the story of Della Sloane and Woods Kerrington and they both have accounts on Twitter as well. You can check them and follow them- @Della_Sloane and @WKerrington
The profile picture on their accounts is perfect for the two characters.

Perfect, aren't they? So anyways, I like this series but I'm not head over heels over it like Janhvi so there's not much I have that reminds me of it. All I hope is that she likes this post.

Here are some teasers for you from the latest book that I found online. Do get your copy and read, because these books are sexy and sweet.

That's all I have! Once again, happy birthday, Janhvi!

Things That Remind Me Of...

Abbi GlinesThe Vincent Boys is a series of two books, The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys #1) and The Vincent Brothers (The Vincent Boys #2). Extremely adorable and light-hearted contemporary romances, the books are the stories of brothers, Beau and Sawyer Vincent.

These are the new and absolutely gorgeous covers for both the books!

The Vincent Boys is the story of Beau and Ashton. Though a love triangle, these books really make you feel all happy and what better than togetherness of two people who truly love each other!
Here is how I picture Beau and Ashton:

BeauAshton

The Vincent Brothers  is the story of Beau's and Ashton's cousins, Sawyer and Lana. They make an adorable couple and balance each other out perfectly!
Here is how I picture Sawyer and Lana:

I must admit that all these pictures are what Google gives you when you Google the series. I was amazed to see how all these guys exactly match the guys I imagined for Beau, Ashton, Sawyer and Lana. Don't they form a super lovely picture?!

Abbi Glines really has a way of bringing a smile to the face of readers with her super sweet, cheesy yet enjoyable stories!

Who is your favourite Vincent boy/brother?! ;)

Things That Remind Me Of...

This time I'm making a Things That Remind Me Of... post on one of the most amazing and intricately beautiful books that I've ever read, Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Laini Taylor
The second book in the series, Days Of Blood And Starlight is slated for a November 6, 2012 release which is just a few days away and I cannot wait to read it.

Goodreads Summary:

Around the world, black hand prints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grows dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages—not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.

When one of the strangers—beautiful, haunted Akiva—fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

Things That Remind Me Of... Daughter Of Smoke And Bone:

Daughter Of Smoke And Bone  is one of those reads that really opens your creative side and lets your imagination soar!
The pictures I've used for this post are not exactly the way I imagined everything while reading, but it's as close to the general picture in my head as I could manage to get.

The book is set in the fascinating, picturesque and kind of creepy city of Prague in Czech Republic.

This is how I picture Akiva and Karou, the protagonists.

Stanilav Ianevski (Viktor Krum from Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire)

There is an amazing masquerade ball that forms a major part of the story.

And of course, the one thing that always reminds me of Daughter Of Smoke And Bone are the masquerade masks! The one on the cover of the book is so pretty and so are these...

Daughter Of Smoke And Bone  also has some really beautiful names for the characters in it. Some of my favourites are:

Kazimir, Brimstone, Kishmish...

Wow, right?

Here is the official book trailer for Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Little Brown Books...

For more information, you can always check out The Official Daughter Of Smoke And Bone Website.

This is one of those books that just makes you go "wow!"... It's the kind of book that leaves you amazed and absolutely elated that you read it.

Have you read this book and did you love it?
I did and I am so excited to know what happens next!

Things That Remind Me Of...

This time's Things That Remind Me Of... is Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry. It is a fantastic book which takes you on an emotional roller coaster. I loved Echo and Noah. If you still haven't read it, I suggest you get your hands on it asap!

                  Summary-
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

" Sometimes when you see the line, you think it's a good idea to cross it - until you do."

"The worst type of crying wasn't the kind everyone could see - the wailing on street corners, the tearing at clothes. No, the worst kind happened when your soul wept and no matter what you did, there was no way to comfort it."

" I saw the world  in black and white instead of the vibrant colors and shades I knew existed."

"  It had been so long since I'd let myself fall for anybody. I gazed into her beautiful green eyes and her fear melted. A shy smile tugged at her lips and at my heart. Fuck me and the rest of the world, I was in love."

" I wanted her to feel what I felt. To revel in the pull, the attraction. Dammit, I wanted her to undeniably love me."

" I love you enough to never make you choose."

Ah, those quotes just make you swoon, don't they? It makes me want to re read Pushing The Limits all over again. Have you read Pushing The Limits? Like it? Let me know. :)

Janhvi's Birthday + Things That Remind Me Of...

Here's wishing Janhvi, my best friend, now also fellow blogger and the most simple, sincere, sometimes silly, always smart and sexy girl that I know, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :*

This post is dedicated to her and her love for Carlos, Fuentes brother #2 from Simone Elkeles's Rules Of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry #2). My plan is to give her as much of Carlos as I possibly can on her birthday. I've got her a PB copy of the book as a present! (Shhh... Don't tell her that yet.)

Rules Of Attraction is the story of Carlos Fuentes and Kiara Westford.

The Perfect Chemistry trilogy consists of-

Simone Elkeles has book trailers for all the books that can be viewed on her website
The guys who have played the male protagonists in the trailers are simply gorgeous!

But today, we will only have a look at the ever hot and simply cool, Carlos. The model's name is Giancarlo Vidrio. (That name sounds hot too!)

Here's a very nice quote from ROA.

“Look at me, chica." When she does, I repeat, "Eres hermosa."
"What does it mean?"
"You're beautiful.”

There is also a superb trailer for the book! This trailer is a must-see!

I hope you all had a great time staring at Carlos, which is why the word content of this post is so little. Sometimes, the picture says it all! ;)

The pictures have been taken from Google Images, Tumblr and other blogs.

Happy birthday again, Janhvi!

Sarika's Birthday + Things That Remind Me Of..

Here's wishing Sarika a very Happy Birthday from me! This post is for her and her love for Ethan <3

Things That Remind Me Of... is a post where we'll be putting up pictures, videos, songs and any other such stuff which remind us of some book we've read and loved. This week we're gonna put up stuff of one of our all time favorite series which is Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

You can find Beautiful Creatures on Goodreads here

And here is the gorgeous trailer for Beautiful Creatures. I have no clue if its official or fan made but it perfectly sums up the book.

Here's how I picture Ethan-
And Lena-
And here's Lena's necklace-
All the things above just give you glimpses into the world of Beautiful Creatures. They're also making the book into a movie about which you can find out more here
There are so many things I love about this series, especially Ethan that I can't describe it. I'm gonna seriously going to have happy sad feelings about Beautiful Redemption which is the last book in the Caster Chronicle series which comes out Oct 23,2012. I want to see what happens next but I'm gonna be sad that it all ends. All I can say is that if you still haven't read this you definitely should because only then you'll be able to see how amazing it is!
