I have read a LOT of books till date but I am quite ashamed to admit that fantasy is not one of the genres I have fully explored. But I really want to. So I'm dividing this up into my 5 favorite fantasy reads and 5 fantasy reads which I still have to read.

I LOVE it that we both picked fantasy :) I'm yet to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Under the Never Sky but it'll happen soon. Both are high on my to-read list. I cannot wait for you to discover Melina Marchetta. You'll love it and Throne of Glass as well. Great list, Janhvi :)

ReplyDeleteFantastic list! Graceling, Daughter of Smoke & Bone, Throne of Glass, Unraveling and Lightning Thief are great reads - loved them all! I can't wait to read Finnikin, I've had it since it first came out and still haven't read it :)
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS LIST!!!!! Not that I've read all the books on here but DAMMIT! I WANT TOO! lol~ Let's see I've read Finnikin of the Rock and Daughter of S & B~ LOVE them both so much!! They even made my Top Ten list (I picked Fantasy too) All the others are on my TBR list, except for Unraveling, Lost Girl and For Darkness Show the Stars. I've never heard of those three before but I'll be sure to look into them. Graceling, The Percy Jackson Series and Throne of Glass, I actually have them all in my bookcase right now. Trying to find the time to read them all and I'm currently on the waiting list for Cinder, at my local library! Geesh, I could go on and on forever about what fantasy books are great lol!

I've got Graceling on my to-read list as well and I am so glad to see that I'm not the only one that hasn't read Percy Jackson, though I want to also. I love Throne of Glass and I would highly recommend it to you. My list:

I loved UTNS and Cinder. Both are so freaking amazing. Which makes me want to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Unraveling because you have such great taste (kind of similar to mine) and I want to branch out and read more fantasy books.

Yay for The Lost Girl, and Daughter of Smoke and Bone! I really liked both of those. I haven't read any of the others on your list except for Graceling and The Lightning Thief on your TBR pile and they're totally worth reading I hope you get to them soon.

This is a brilliant list Janhvi! I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone and The Lost Girl, so they certainly would have made it to my list too! I also love Graceling and Throne of Glass, so can't wait to see how you get on with them!

ReplyDeleteLoved Under the Never Sky series! Finnikin of the Rock was just amazing! The whole series is amazing! Loved Graceling, too. Grave Mercy and Dark Triumph are fav fantasy reads of mine as well. Great picks, Janhvi! :)
